Screening of Nate Parker’s The Birth of a Nation

There will be a special screening of The Birth of a Nation at 7pm on Oct. 6 at the Whitney Humanities Center. A post-screening panel with Crystal Feimster, Daphne Brooks, and Ed Rugemer will discuss the issues raised by the film, both textual and extra textual, including the controversy over director Nate Parker’s past. Jacqueline Goldsby and Ron Gregg will introduce the film.
