Contest Information

The contest will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven from approximately 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. (a complete schedule will be posted online closer to the date of the contest). Registration is in the lobby at the main entrance to Wilbur Cross. At that time participants will receive a program which contains interview times and locations.

Exhibits will be set up in the cafeteria by assigned table. Interviewing for performances, documentaries, websites, and historical papers will be held in classrooms on the second floor (an elevator is available.) Historical papers will be on display for viewing in the cafeteria, and students and their guests are encouraged to read the historical papers and view the exhibits there. Performances and documentaries are open to students, parents, and friends. Please respect the judges’ space during interviews.

Performance entries will be in a classroom with a “stage” area cleared at one end of the room. Documentary entries will be shown in rooms that have a TV and DVD player. Additionally, website judging will take place in rooms that will provide access to a computer. Please note, however, that any equipment needed for exhibits and performances (such as computers, projectors, power cords, etc.) MUST BE PROVIDED BY STUDENTS.

Concessions may be available at the school. Attendees are also welcome to bring their lunch or to visit any of the nearby restaurants. For information on New Haven area restaurants, be sure to visit http://www.infonewhaven.com/dining-listing.
