This week the Race and Slavery in the Atlantic World (RSAW) working group will focus on the work of Raquel Otheguy. Raquel is a historian of the African Diaspora, the Hispanic Caribbean, and the United States. Her research interests include race, education, slavery and freedom, and immigration. She is particularly interested in questions about the shifting parameters of identity and inclusion in the late colonial and post-colonial period in the Americas.
