Rent of Three Negro Men

We promise to pay to Joel Leurs in order One hundred and Eighty dollars on the 1st day of January next for the Hire of three negro men Nelson, Thom, & Ned, and to cloth the said negroes in the usual manner and to let them return by Christmas next.  Witness our hand this 2nd day of January 1826.
